Mandarin Nut Bread

INGREDIENTS

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 egg

  • 2 Tbs melted butter 

  • 2 1/2 TBs freshly grated mandarin zest

  • 1/2 cup mandarin juice

  • 2 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 tps baking powder  

  • 1/2 tps baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

DIRECTIONS

 

Preheat oven to 350f

Place greased 8 x 4“ loaf  pan. Set aside.

 

Combne sugar, milk, mandarin juice, egg, butter and zest in bowl.

Beat until well mixed

Add all remaining ingredients except walnuts. Save them for last. Stir until barely moistened.  

Stir in walnuts.

 

Spoon batter into the prepared pan. Bake 55 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes and remove from the pan.
